Frequently Asked Questions
What ages or grades is this conference for?
The Youth Adventure Conference is designed for middle school and specifically those who have completed 5th-7th grade in spring 2025. If you have questions about whether it’s right for your child, feel free to contact us!
What is your safety plan?
Safety is our top priority. All volunteers and staff undergo background checks and receive training in youth safety protocols. Our facilities will be secure, monitored, and staffed with responsible adults at all times. We implement of procedure known as the rule of 3, which does not allow for youth to go off on their own or in pairs.
Who will be supervising the students?
Students will be supervised by trained adult leaders and volunteers from Anderson First Church of the Nazarene and The Community Center @ AFC. We ensure a safe adult-to-student ratio and maintain constant supervision throughout the event.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Drop-Off and pick-up will run 30 minutes before and after each day.
Drop-Off: 8:00 AM - 8:25 AM
Pick-Up: 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Sunday’s Family Day is optional but highly encouraged — parents and siblings are invited!

What should my child bring?
We’ll provide a packing list before the event, but essentials will include comfortable clothes, a Bible (if they have one), a water bottle, and a great attitude! No need to bring meals — we’ve got lunch covered.
Will meals be provided?
Yes! We believe students need physical nourishment to thrive. We’ll serve lunch both days, and snacks will be available throughout the event. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs in advance.
What is the spiritual content of the conference?
Our sessions include student-led worship, relevant Bible lessons, and opportunities to grow in faith. We create an environment of love, respect, and grace where every student is welcomed and encouraged — no matter where they are in their faith journey.
Will there be any follow-up after the conference?
Absolutely! We want the impact to last beyond the weekend. We’ll offer opportunities for students and parents, and invite families to join us for Family Day on Sunday, featuring student participation in worship and a community block party!
What is the cost to attend?
It’s completely FREE! Thanks to the generosity of Anderson First Church of the Nazarene and The Community Center @ AFC, there is no cost to attend the Youth Adventure Conference 2025. However, space is limited, so we encourage you to register early to reserve your spot!
